No account is required. WebSnapPro works immediately after installation with no sign-up, login, or personal information needed. All your screenshots and settings are stored locally on your device.
Screenshots are stored locally in your browser's storage and accessible through the History page. You can also export them to your downloads folder in PNG, JPG, or WebP format. We never upload your screenshots to external servers.
Yes, WebSnapPro works completely offline. Capture, edit, and save screenshots without any internet connection. The only features that require internet are downloading the extension initially and checking for updates.
Some websites with complex dynamic content, lazy loading, or infinite scroll may require adjusted settings. Try increasing the scroll delay to 1000-1500ms in Options → Full Page Capture. For very long pages, also check the max height limit.
Capture shortcuts (Alt+V, Alt+F, Alt+A) can be customized at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Go to this URL, find WebSnapPro, and set your preferred key combinations. Editor tool shortcuts (V, P, L, etc.) are fixed for consistency.
Yes, WebSnapPro captures whatever is visible in your browser tab. If you're logged into a site and can see the content, you can capture it. The extension only accesses the active tab and doesn't have access to your login credentials.
After capturing, use the Blur tool (press B) or Pixelate tool in the editor. Click and drag over the area you want to obscure. Adjust the intensity as needed. Always review your screenshot before sharing to ensure all sensitive data is hidden.
PNG is lossless (best quality, larger files) - ideal for text and UI. JPG uses compression (smaller files, some quality loss) - good for photos. WebP offers the best of both worlds with excellent compression and quality - recommended for web use.
Quick fixes for the most common problems users encounter.
✅ Solution: This happens after the extension is updated. Simply refresh the web page you're trying to capture and try again.
✅ Solution: Check chrome://extensions/shortcuts for conflicts. Make sure hotkeys are enabled in Settings. Shortcuts don't work when typing in input fields.
✅ Solution: Increase scroll delay to 1000-1500ms in Options → Full Page Capture. Some sites with lazy loading need more time between scrolls.
✅ Solution: Some pages with heavy security or DRM content can't be captured. Try refreshing the page first. Check if the page has fully loaded.
✅ Solution: Check your retention period in Settings. Screenshots older than the set period are automatically deleted. Also check search/filter settings.
✅ Solution: Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome toolbar and pin WebSnapPro. The icon should then appear permanently in your toolbar.
✅ Solution: Check your grid overlay settings in Options → Selection Grid. Make sure the color has sufficient contrast with the page background.
✅ Solution: Refresh the editor tab. If the problem persists, try disabling and re-enabling the extension in chrome://extensions.
