Installation Guide
Install WebSnapPro from Chrome Web Store. Load unpacked extension from 'dist' folder for development.
Quick Start
Use Alt+F for full page, Alt+V for visible area, or Alt+A for area selection. Access via popup or context menu.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Capture: Alt+F/V/A. Editor: V (Select), P (Pencil), L (Line), A (Arrow), R (Rect), E (Ellipse), T (Text), C (Crop), B (Blur). Undo: Ctrl+Z, Redo: Ctrl+Y

Taking Your First Screenshot

    Install WebSnapPro

    Visit the Chrome Web Store and click "Add to Chrome". The extension icon will appear in your toolbar.

    Navigate to Any Web Page

    Open the page you want to capture. Wait for it to fully load before capturing.

  3. 3

    Choose a Capture Mode

    Press Alt+V for visible area, Alt+F for full page, or Alt+A for area selection. Alternatively, click the extension icon.

    Edit Your Screenshot

    The editor opens automatically. Use annotation tools to highlight, annotate, or blur sensitive information.

    Export or Save

    Click "Download" to save to your computer, or the screenshot is automatically saved to history for later access.

Creating Annotated Bug Reports

  1. 1

    Capture the Bug

    Use visible area (Alt+V) to capture the specific area showing the bug, or full page (Alt+F) if context is needed.

    Highlight the Problem Area

    Use the Rectangle tool (R) with a red color to draw a box around the issue. Use Arrow (A) to point directly at the problem.

    Add Text Explanation

    Press T to add text annotations. Describe what's wrong, what was expected, and any relevant details.

    Protect Sensitive Data

    Use Blur (B) or Pixelate to hide passwords, personal info, or API keys before sharing with your team.

    Export as PNG

    Download as PNG for best quality. Attach to your issue tracker (Jira, GitHub, Linear, etc.).

Managing Your Screenshot History

    Access History

    Click the extension icon and select "History" to view all saved screenshots.

  2. 2

    Search and Filter

    Use the search bar to find screenshots by URL or filename. Filter by date or format type.

  3. 3

    Sort Your Screenshots

    Sort by newest, oldest, or file size to find what you need quickly.

  4. 4

    Re-edit or Download

    Click any screenshot to open it in the editor for further changes, or download directly.

  5. 5

    Set Retention Period

    Go to Settings → History to configure auto-deletion from 1 to 90 days, or keep screenshots indefinitely.
